Isn't it quite an adventure to see the world through Mom's dresses? Can you imagine being a princess in her black and white dress, riding a horse and rescuing a pawn? Traveling from B flat to G on her stripy dress? Sometimes Mom wears a long white dress and then I pick up my brushes, filling it with color. Today, Mom woke up with hearts on her nightgown. I can feel a tingling, and I cant stop blushing!

Mónica Carretero nació en Madrid, pero ahora vive feliz en Segovia, donde se dedica profesionalmente a dibujar y a escribir cuentos. Asegura que esta profesión le da vida. Una gran pasión que se refleja sin duda en sus ilustraciones, llenas de color y de personajes originales que transmiten alegría, felicidad y ganas de vivir. Ha ilustrado decenas de libros, juegos y carteles para España, Inglaterra, Francia, Corea, Australia y los Estados Unidos. Desde 2011, su trabajo ha sido reconocido en varias ocasiones, siendo laureada en la London Book Fair, los Latino Book Awards en Estados Unidos y la BookExpo America.
